Purpose

Manage, direct and coordinated the office activities, maintain company accounting system and records.

Duties

  1. Direct the daily office functions to insure error free reporting.
  2. Produce review and distribute monthly financial statements.
  3. Participate in the monthly earning re-projections.
  4. Participate in the annual budget process.
  5. Maintain the property, Plant and Equipment Asset records.
  6. Process Insurance payments.
  7. Process Property tax payments.
  8. Maintain the Capital Expenditure log.
  9. Review bank reconciliation’s.
  10. Review payrolls for hourly and salary employees.
  11. Review Weekly and Monthly Accounts Receivable invoicing.
  12. Prepare Net Proceeds of Mines report.
  13. Prepare annual Tax Audit Kit and 10-K report.
  14. Prepare quarterly Audit kit.
  15. Maintain General Ledger.
  16. Maintain Check Stock (AP and Payroll) and Distribution Log of said stock.
  17. Prepare various journal vouchers in preparation of monthly financial statements.
  18. Maintain internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley standards.
  19. Participate in various audits conducted by corporate, local governmental agencies.
  20. Provide support in the preparation of various outside governmental reports.
  21. Prepare and provide financial analysis as required by local and corporate management.
  22. Troubleshoot computer problems with both in house personal computers and the accounting system computers and related software.

Educational Requirements

A degree in accounting or related field in addition to a minimum of five years’ experience in accounting or related field. Have working knowledge of computers, must be proficient in Excel, Word and ERP systems. MS Dynamics experience is a plus.
