Diesel Mechanic

Applications for the classification of Diesel Mechanic, must have the capacity to perform the following essential job functions:

  • Must have an excellent safety, work and attendance records
  • Have a valid Nevada Driver’s license - preferably Class 1 or 2
  • At least two (2) years experience in diesel engine repair work. Specifically, 350 and 400 Cummins, 3306, 3406 and D-353 Cat engines, Fuller transmissions and related drive train systems, and Cat hydraulic systems
  • At least one (1) year experience in gasoline engine repair work, such experience to include electrical and air systems repairs on tractor-trailer equipment
  • Must own and supply complete set of tools for performance of above mentioned repairs
  • Must have prior welding experience and be able to weld aluminum
  • Must have ability to take directions and follow instructions
  • Must perform general housekeeping and clean-up duties as required
  • Must abide by all plant safety rules and MSHA regulations
  • Must be available for shift work, have a communication means to be reached and be willing to respond to call outs as needed
