Safety/Personnel Director

Responsibilities:  Provide the leadership and expertise to obtain company-wide excellence in Safety. Maintain State and Federal regulations, while communicating this to all employees personally, through department heads, front line supervisors, and safety committee.
Individual should possess and display an aptitude for leadership, creativity, initiative, business ethics, and motivation (self-directed). Own a managerial style capable of being a team player while setting high expectations for safety disciplines.
Position Requirements & Qualifications:
Formal degree or technical schooling in Safety Management, or Management Discipline, or equivalent work experience required for selection and placement. Familiarity with legal operations is beneficial. Detailed technical schooling in first response, First Aid / CPR. M.S.H.A. and State Mining Standards training would be beneficial. Fundamental understanding of State and Federal legislation governing safety and personnel exposure.
